Medical
Medical insurance is provided through Blue Cross Blue Shield. Employees can choose between two Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) plans.

Dental
Employees have the option to purchase dental coverage through Principal Financial for themselves and their dependents. The indemnity plan allows you to see any dentist of your choice. However, out of pocket expenses may be lower when receiving services from an in-network provider.

Vision
The vision plan through United Healthcare allows you to see any provider you'd like to see, but the benefit is greater with in-network providers. For in-network, the copay for exams is $10 (once every 12 months) and $130 for frames (one set in any 24 month period). Lenses range from $50 to $150 depending on your needs. Contact lenses are available in lieu of lenses or frames. When contacts are chosen $105 is applied toward fitting/evaluation fees.

Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment
TAM International provides all full-time employees with a $50,000 life and a $50,000 accidental death & dismemberment insurance benefit through Principal Financial.

Supplement Life – Voluntary
TAM International offers all full-time US employees with the opportunity to purchase additional life insurance through Principal Financial. Coverage is available in increments of $10,000 to a maximum of 5x annual earnings or $250,000. Optional spouse and/or children’s life insurance is also available.

Short Term Disability
TAM International values you as an employee. Therefore, TAM offers all full-time US employees the opportunity to purchase Short Term Disability through Principal Financial. Benefits are equal to 60% of your weekly earnings to a maximum of $1,000 per week. Benefits are payable for up to 12 weeks.

Long Term Disability
TAM International offers all full-time US employees the opportunity to purchase Long Term Disability through Principal Financial. Benefits are equal to 60% of your monthly earnings to a maximum of $5,000.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
TAM International offers all full-time US employees with EAP provided by United Healthcare. The EAP program provides professional assistance with life issues. This service is provided at no cost to employees.

401(k) Retirement Plan
TAM International provides a number of investment choices for your retirement benefit, and will match a certain percentage of your pre-tax contributions (not to exceed a preset limit). All regular full-time employees are eligible to join the qualified retirement plan after completion of three months of employment at the beginning of a quarter. Employees must also be at least 18 years old. Part-time employees who work at least 1,000 hours in a plan year would be eligible.

Credit Union Membership
Credit Union membership is available to all US employees. The Credit Union offers a variety of benefits, such as: Certificates, IRA’s, Signature Loans, and much more.

Vacation
Full-time employees are eligible for vacation after the completion of 3 months of employment. During the first year of employment, vacations days are pro-rated based on the hire date. Every year employees are granted vacation days based on years of service. Employees with 1 to 4 years of service receive 10 days, employees with 5 to 9 years of service receive 15 days and employees with 10 or more years of service receive 20 days.

Holidays
The Company typically observes eight paid holidays per year depending on how the holiday schedule falls in any given year. The Company, at its sole discretion, may adjust this schedule.

Sick Leave
After 90 days of continuous full-time service, employees are eligible for 5 paid sick days per calendar year.

Pension Plan
TAM International pays the full cost of a defined pension plan for all full-time employees who have at least one year of service and are 18+ years of age. Part-time employees who work at least 1,000 hours I a plan year would be eligible. Entrance to the plan is either April 1 or October 1 after one year.

Service Award Recognition Program
Employees who have completed 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of service with the Company are recognized through the TAM Service Award Program.

Direct Deposit
An employee may choose to have payroll checks directly deposited into his/her bank account.

Tuition Reimbursement
Tuition reimbursement is available to all full-time, regular status employees who have at least one year of consecutive service.  Reimbursement is based on the grade received. Pre-approval is required and certain dollar maximums apply.

Leave for Bereavement, Family Medical, Jury Duty
Up to 3 days of paid bereavement leave will be provided to all regular and introductory full-time employees in the event of the death of an immediate family member. Up to 5 days of paid bereavement leave will be provided in the event of the death of a spouse or child. Jury Duty: All regular full-time employees are eligible for paid jury duty.

Transportation Incentive
TAM has committed to be a part of a citywide effort to reduce the amount of vehicles on Houston highways by offering incentives to all full-time, regular employees in the Company that may be interested in driving a car pool or riding METRO. For details, please contact Human Resources.
