A liner is a casing string that does not extend to the surface, but instead is anchored or suspended from inside of the previous casing string. The advantage to the well designer is a substantial savings in capital costs; however, achieving viable annular isolation in these applications can be extremely challenging. TAM’s inflatable Casing Annulus Packers (CAPs) and FREECAP® swellable packers can be utilized in a variety of scenarios to complement the primary liner top sealing elements and cementing operations to ensure wellbore integrity is established and maintained. TAM’s unique slimline OD designs minimize the impacts on equivalent circulating densities (ECDs) during primary pumping operations. Subsequently, they provide a secondary barrier to annular gas or fluid migration to the previous casing string once activated.
