SlikPak – Retrievable Bridge Plug
The SlikPak Plus setting tool system can be used to set a permanent or retrievable bridge plug. The 2-1/8 in. running tool system can be used to set the 2-1/8 in. or 3-1/2 in. Retrievable Plug system. Each tool size can be equipped with inflatable elements that range in size from 2-1/8 in. to 7-3/8 in. The selection of the inflation element size depends on the minimum restriction in the well and the differential pressure requirements. The Retrievable Plug system allows for equalization during the setting process to prevent the plug from moving if set in cross flow scenarios. If the Retrievable Plug is needed as a permanent bridge plug, cement is dumped on top. For applications where the bridge plug will be retrieved, a standard JDC fishing tool is used. Before the JDC latches onto the fishing neck, an equalization prong is shifted to ensure the plug is equalized from above to below. Once the pressure is equalized across the plug, a simple jar-up operation is performed to release the inflation element.
SlikPak – Retrievable Scab Liner
The SlikPak Plus setting tool can be used to set a retrievable scab liner system that uses two inflation elements to isolate production zones or completion equipment. In the scenario where there are multiple perforations, zones in the center could water out or deplete. In this scenario, it may be advantageous to isolate the zones with a through tubing retrievable scab liner, rather than planning an expensive rig intervention. Another use of the scab liner system would be to isolate leaks in a completions system to keep the well on-line until a permanent fix can be done at a later date. Depending on the length of the scab and the amount of lubricator, the interval may need to be built in sections. To build the scab interval in sections, PBR’s and a collet latch system are used. Each section is shear pinned differently to be able to retrieve in reverse.
